A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Hardware Design Engineer located in Basildon on contract basis.

Whilst the ideal candidate will have all the experience listed below, the business will be more interested in the digital PCB design than the FPGA capability.
The applicant will be to produce designs for electronic equipment and systems to meet requirements, specifying components and materials to enable procurement and equipment manufacture.
To qualify the resulting equipment and/or systems to appropriate standards ready for production.
Has in depth knowledge of a specialist area which will allow them to take a key role.
Main responsibilities will be designing core components for the company’s latest products.
FPGA code design using the VHDL language.
Code simulation and verification using a variety of development toolsets.
Mentor graphics tool sets: HDS, Precision Synthesis.
ilinx FPGA devices and design toolsets
Design of high speed memory controllers and parallel buses in excess of 100 MHz.
Design of complex synchronous control logic.
Experience of digital image data processing.
PLL and clock distribution.
Experience of video formats.
Strong architectural design skills.
Strong debugging ability.
Proven technical documentation generation skills.
Good communication skills.
QDR memory interfacing.
High speed digital design and PCB layout.
Embedded software design.
