A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Accountant based on a 10 month contract located in Rutland.

The successful candidate will be accountable to the Finance Manager & Head of Service Delivery, providing a project accounting service to the business which will involve the financial control and management of defined elements within an overall platform availability service.

You will form a key part of the Service Delivery Business Team and offer professional advice that will support the drive to optimise the service thereby maximising mission effectiveness and minimising cost to the customer. You will at the same time ensure all decisions taken have a sound financial basis, add value to the company, and are compliant with corporate and local policies and procedures.

You will become involved in key activities such as Contract reporting (CSR’s), Business Planning (IBP), costbase management and financial forecasting against key salients such as, order intake, sales, EBITA and operating cash flow. You will also be required to support any pricing and request for bid approval activity as and when necessary.

You will supervise other finance staff where applicable and it is important that you can demonstrate a degree of leadership also within the wider business team through an ability to influence others and achieve targets within certain deadlines.

You will be required to liaise with Central Finance Teams and provide them with timely and accurate financial and management accounting information. Time management, organisational skills and the ability to work to a high standard whilst under pressure are therefore all critical to achieving success in this role.

You will be a qualified accountant with previous project accounting experience and any experience of Value Based Management whilst not a pre-requisite, would be a considerable advantage.
