New and exciting opportunities have arisen for Electrical Designer located in Portsmouth.

The successful candidate will be to carry out, as part of the team, tasks associated with the concept and detailed design of electrical systems on Naval vessels and any other shipbuilding projects undertaken in the future.
Will be required to cross all disciplines of engineering but particular experience and competence in the Electrical/ Hull and Outfit area is required
Other duties will include analysis, definition and preparation of technical specifications for:
- Power generation and distribution systems.
- Power conversion machinery.
- Platform Management Systems.
- Lighting systems.
- Detection systems.
- Lightning protection.
- Degaussing systems.
- Flight deck and hangar electrical services.
- Cathodic protection.
A flexible attitude towards regular travel both within the UK and overseas
To observe and follow the Company's Health and Safety rules and guidelines
Travel may be required of this role

The ideal candidate will ideally educated to degree or HND standard and have achieved, or be applying for, membership of IEE
Be able to communicate effectively as part of a multi disciplined team, with their team and customers.
Be able to demonstrate good presentation skills and have a working knowledge of Microsoft packages such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
