An exciting and challenging vacancy exists for a Head of Mechanical Engineering working for our prestigious defence Client to manage the mechanical engineering department and provide managed teams into the projects based in Luton.
Management of the staff, including motivation, recruitment, performance management, staff development.
Ensuring estimates for current and future work are accurate.
Providing skilled teams to support the projects.
Delivering process improvement in line with the Company strategy.
Management of the mechanical engineering overhead budget.
Review an update of relevant processes and procedures.

Ideal candidates for this role should have a degree in mechanical engineering or an allied subject and it is highly desirable to be a Chartered Engineer
